I am a great fan of public art, especially murals that reflect community values, identity(ies) and/or interests.  For that reason, I search for mural art whenever I visit new cities.   For the artist, it is a joy to have an often neglected wall as a canvas, and the neighborhood as a museum, no admission fee required.  My own experience dates back to high school and college years, when I spent two summers - first as a crew member and then as an assistant to the project leader - with the Boston Mayor’s Mural Crew.  I look forward to returning to this art form down the road.
